OUR HISTORY

Ledeck German shepherds was founded in 1984 by Peter de Decker and his son in law Colin Levy and family. The kennel has produced top quality dogs for both showing, working, and normal companion dogs. Peter and Colin are both founder members of the GSD Federation of South Africa and have been actively involved in the organization since its inception.

Originally the kennel was started in Port Elizabeth, but in the early 2000's was relocated to Johannesburg area. The kennel is now being managed and run by Colin's son Justin Levy.

Over the 40 year lifetime of our kennel we have bred an average of 2 litters per year.

Through the years we have competed in both the working and showing side of the dog sport.

We strive to produce the best possible dogs that have a balanced temperament and live up to the best health standards.

All of our dogs can be traced to top performing dogs from Germany within a few generations.
